Sage Intacct Uk 2025 R4 Release

Features and enhancements now available in the Uk release of sage intacct.

Over the past months Sage have had a phased rollout of Sage Ai Close Automation. Within this release, they are pleased to announce the launch of Close Workspace!

As you are aware, Sage AI Close Automation empowers teams to detect and resolve variances early, streamline AP/AR reconciliations, and reduce manual effort. Previous feature releases included: Variance Analysis, Subledger Reconciliation Assistant and Close Assistant.  With support from The Close Agent, users gain instant insights, guided workflows, and proactive issue resolution, ensuring faster, more accurate closes with greater confidence.

Sage Ai Close Automation - Close workspace

Accelerate financial close with real-time visibility, streamlined collaboration, and intelligent automation. Powered by The Close Agent, which enables continuous assurance by tracking tasks, flagging issues, and guiding teams through each step of the process.

Checklists and Notifications

The update introduces template-based workflows that help users establish consistent close procedures. Checklists provide visibility into every task, owner, and status, ensuring accountability and completeness. Proactive notifications highlight due dates, dependencies, and outstanding tasks before they become blockers, streamlining the close process and reducing risk.

Visibility and Collaboration

The Close Progress Monitor gives users real-time visibility into the financial close process across checklists, tasks, and entities, with intuitive charts that make it easy to spot delays and bottlenecks. In addition, enhanced collaboration powered by Sage AI enables users to draft tailored emails for task alerts or variance reviews, create actionable notifications, and communicate directly within close tasks, reducing friction, keeping teams aligned, and strengthening internal controls.

Fixed asset management

AP Purchase Invoice or AR Sales Invoice Line

Save time and improve accuracy when managing bulk asset purchases

Allowing users to generate multiple fixed assets from a single AP purchase invoice or purchasing transaction line. Instead of manually creating assets one by one, users can now specify up to 20 assets per line, with amounts automatically distributed across them. This eliminates manual workarounds, reduces errors, and ensures each asset is tracked and depreciated individually for accurate financial reporting.

Partially Dispose of Assets

Manage depreciation more accurately by disposing part of an asset

Allowing users to retire portions of an asset, such as selling part of a building or removing components during an upgrade, without manual workarounds. Fixed Assets Management automatically adjusts cost and depreciation schedules, calculates gain or loss, and provides full visibility into disposal details with direct links to related journal entries. This ensures financial accuracy, saves time, and simplifies asset management.

AR term discounts for VAT/GST

Automate tax capture for accurate VAT/GST discount reporting

This update streamlines tax reporting by automatically calculating VAT/GST when term discounts are applied to customer payments, ensuring compliance, and reducing manual corrections. Flexible discount handling meets global requirements, while automated processing eliminates workarounds, improving accuracy and efficiency in tax management.

AR Statement – Include Credits

Users can simplify reconciliation by displaying open invoices and credits

The open item statement now shows only active transactions, open invoices, and credits, while excluding closed items. This makes reconciliation with the Aging balance easier and more focused, improves accuracy, and helps prevent errors during the process.

Introducing historical contacts

Accelerate onboarding with simplified contract setup

Allowing users to import both live and historical contract data, ensuring an accurate financial picture from day one. Instead of recreating past transactions, users can enter open balances for billed and recognised amounts as of a specific date, and Sage Intacct automatically posts these to the General Ledger. This streamlines implementation, reduces manual effort, and improves accuracy, helping users go live faster and support growth during mergers, acquisitions, and renewals.

Platform REST API trigger

Supercharge workflows with REST-based automations

The update introduces a new REST API trigger option, allowing users to build automations entirely within Sage Intacct without relying on external systems. By moving from legacy XML triggers to REST-based workflows, users gain flexibility, scalability, and precision, defining API version, resource, and HTTP method to tailor automations to their exact needs.
