Line level matching for smarter purchasing (EA)

A new capability that uses AI/ML to extract and match each line item from supplier documents, whether emailed or uploaded directly to the corresponding transaction lines. This ensures greater accuracy by treating the supplier document as the source of truth. The system automatically highlights discrepancies between purchase orders and invoices, such as price or quantity mismatches, enabling faster issue resolution. With intelligent flagging and clear calculations, teams can reduce manual checks and streamline approvals, saving time and increasing confidence in automated processing.

Match tolerance insight  

Manage match expectations instantly with one-click access  

Match tolerance is a configurable control in Purchasing that helps ensure transactions align with approved purchase order details. By comparing quantities and unit prices against a set percentage threshold, the system automatically flags any discrepancies during transaction conversion. This gives teams greater visibility into exceptions, allowing them to review and resolve issues before supplier invoices are paid. Match tolerance supports better financial control, helps identify potential errors or supplier issues, and ensures reimbursements reflect what was originally approved. Exception summaries are easy to access, and configuration is available through transaction definitions, with support for both quantity and price tolerances.

Combine documents easily in purchase workflows  

Streamline linking of transaction lines across related documents  

The multi-document convert functionality has now been expanded. This enhancement allows users to combine multiple documents or specific line items from those documents into a single transaction. For example, when a supplier sends an invoice covering multiple orders, you can now create one streamlined Purchasing transaction from multiple source documents. This update supports flexible line selection, enabling you to add lines from different documents into a single invoice. It also improves workflow efficiency by reducing manual steps and simplifying transaction processing.

AP approvals with delegation  

Keep AP approvals moving with flexible delegation and routing

This allows approvers to assign delegates during planned or unplanned absences (such as holidays or leave), so approvals continue without delay. Delegation can be configured for individuals or user groups, offering flexible coverage. All delegation activity is transparently tracked through audit trails and custom reporting tools, supporting compliance and accountability. Approvers can easily set their out-of-office periods via preferences, and once active, new submissions are automatically routed to the assigned delegate. Configuration is available through both the UI and API, making it simple to maintain seamless approval processes. This feature originally came from a customer idea.

It is important to ensure that your domain is authenticated in this release. Authenticating your domain helps ensure that your email communications are secure, dependable, and protected from misuse. This update improves email deliverability, reducing the risk of messages being marked as spam or failing to reach recipients. It also enhances domain protection, helping prevent phishing attacks and other fraudulent activity by verifying that emails sent from your domain are legitimate.

AR Refund (GA)

Seamlessly record refunds issues to customers for better tracking and reporting  

The new customer refunds functionality simplifies the process of recording refunds issued outside of Sage Intacct, such as those made via credit card or bank transfer. It supports a wide range of scenarios including adjustments, advances, overpayments, and negative invoices, with full multi-currency support. Refunds can now be recorded directly, eliminating the need for manual balancing adjustments. This update improves reporting accuracy, helps maintain tidy financial records, and makes it easier to resolve inactive accounts with outstanding credits. All refund activity is tracked through a clear audit trail, enhancing transparency and accountability across your finance operations.

New custom tax reports  

Out of the box tax reports making it easier to file  

Additional support has been added for existing countries, including the United Kingdom, to assist with tax reporting and general ledger reconciliation. Using Custom Report Writer, you can generate tailored reports to review tax liabilities without needing to submit a return. These reports also help analyse the data used by Sage Regulatory Reporting to calculate box amounts. For UK VAT groups, the UK tax submission box detail report provides detailed insights, including location and location ID information for all entities sharing a tax ID, making group VAT filing more straightforward and transparent.

Enhanced Sage Intelligent Time (SIT)

Easily inform project and grant billings and capture time for payroll

You now have greater flexibility in managing time entry with enhancements to Sage Intelligent Time. The customisable timesheet entry grid allows you to drag and drop dimensions, reorder or rename columns, show or hide details, and apply defaults to streamline how time is entered and displayed. These changes apply across the Create, Edit, and View pages, making time tracking more intuitive and tailored to your workflows. Additionally, you can now automate overtime attribution, applying predefined rules for payroll and project billing to ensure accurate and consistent calculations. This feature originally came from a customer idea.

Enhanced project revenue recognition

Recognise project revenue based on actual cost against budget  

We have enhanced percent complete revenue recognition by allowing revenue to be calculated based on actual costs incurred against budget, as of a specific date. This ensures revenue is recognised using only the applicable costs posted within the same reporting period, improving financial accuracy and auditability. The new Update percent complete schedules button gives you control over when revenue is calculated and scheduled, helping to eliminate timing-related discrepancies caused by late cost postings. This update also aligns revenue with costs more precisely, supports cleaner reporting, and lays a stronger foundation for compliance.
